Arabica: The Queen of Coffee Beans
Arabica beans are often regarded as the crème de la crème of coffee beans, accounting for about 60 - 70% of the world's coffee production. These beans are native to the highlands of Ethiopia and are typically grown at altitudes between 800 - 2,200 meters above sea level. The cooler temperatures and higher altitudes slow down the growth of the coffee cherries, allowing them to develop more complex flavors and a higher acidity.
